Voice notes: tips for best results

Talk like you'd talk to a work mate. You don't need to be formal or slow.

What to include:

• The customer's name

• The address

• What the job is

• Labour & Materials

A few things that help:

• Get out of the wind or away from the compressor if you can. Background noise is the most common cause of a mangled quote

• Fifteen to thirty seconds is plenty. Long rambling notes are harder to get right

• Say numbers plainly. "Twelve and a half thousand" is clearer than "twelve five"
