What the numbers on your quotes and invoices mean

Quote and invoice numbers (QUO-0004, INV-0004).

If you use Xero, Korda Pro picks up wherever your Xero numbering left off as soon as you connect it. Nothing skips or restarts, and there's nothing to set up.

If you don't use Xero, Korda Pro asks whether you've got a number you want to start from. Give it yours and it carries on from there. If you're just starting out, it'll generate one for you.

Reference (Bathroom Reno).

A short description of the work. It's what you, your customer and your bookkeeper recognise on the page, without anyone looking up a number.

Job Number (KOR-0001).

Your internal tracker, on invoices only. It ties the invoice to a specific job so you and your team know which labour and materials belong where. The prefix is yours: if your jobs run BAE-2001, that's what Korda Pro uses.

Quotes don't get a job number. A quote might never become a job, so the number is created when you invoice.
